16 and 17 year-olds charged with GBH
Five teenage boys, all aged 16 and 17, have been charged over the stabbing of a 14 year-old boy at Hammersmith bus station.
On May 19, two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old appeared at West London Youth Court charged with Grievous Bodily Harm with intent.
Another two boys, one aged 16 and the other 17 were subsequently arrested and appeared at West London Magistrates Court on May 20, charged with GBH.
Both were remanded in custody.
A fourth suspect, in his mid-teens, was arrested on May 18 and bailed.
The attack happened in front of horrified crowds in the bus station outside Hammersmith Broadway at 3.50pm.
Several police cars attended and an air ambulance landed on the King Street NCP car park roof with a large area around the scene cordoned off.
The victim, who is a pupil at Richmond Park Academy was taken by land ambulance to a central London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Lesley Kirby, Headteacher at the academy said: “We are shocked and stunned at the news that a 14-year-old student was attacked in Hammersmith yesterday after school.
"Our thoughts are very much with him, his family and his friends at this critical time. We all wish him a speedy recovery."
