Man Still in Hospital after Mid-morning Stabbing


Victim fled to nearby Hammersmith police station

Police say a man remains in hospital on Friday after being stabbed yesterday, Thursday 9th August at around 11.10am on Hammersmith Broadway.

The victim fled to Hammersmith police station suffering what appeared to be a serious wound to the abdomen. Today however police said that though he is still in hospital, his injuries are not life threatening.

The victims, who is reported to be of mixed race and in his mid-twenties, was outside the Cafe Creme patisserie on Hammersmith Broadway when he became involved in an argument with another man.

The argument escalated into a fight and the man, described as witnesses as a tall black man then pulled out a knife and stabbed him.

A section of the pavement on Shepherd's Bush Road was cordoned off as police investigated. Anyone who saw the incident is ask to contact Hammersmith and Fulham Police, or ring 101.
