King Street Reopens on Monday Morning
Thames Water announces that leaking pipe which led to closure is now fixed
Thames Water say that the leaks which led to Hammersmith's King Street being closed have now been fixed.
The company announced at 11am on Monday, 26 February on their Twitter feed @thameswater: "Good news! Repairs to our pipe on King Street #W6 are now complete and we’ve reopened the road. We’d like to thank everyone for their patience while we’ve been carrying out this essential work."

The street had been shut since 20 February between Hammersmith Broadway and Bridge Avenue after discovery of the new leaks under the road near Marks and Spencer.
During the works, Thames Water tweeted: " Our engineers are currently working hard to fix this leaking pipe under King Street #W6 Further proactive surveying has found another small leak on this pipe and we’re going to fix this too, while we have the road closed."
There is also good news this morning about Goldhawk Road, which also suffered severe flooding after a major burst pipe, with Thames Water saying: "We're pleased to confirm we have now repaired the burst pipe and we're now strengthening the road. Although the road remains closed to traffic we’ve opened up access for pedestrians and we’ll aim to have everything back to normal by the 3rd March.
"We’re really sorry for the disruption the burst pipes have caused in the last week. In each of the areas we’ve got teams working hard to fully support any affected customers.
"Getting everything back to normal is our top priority and then we’ll investigate the causes of the bursts to help reduce the risk of further problems."
