Hammersmith Broadway Police Going Door to Door

Street-a-Week scheme means a visit to every home

Hammersmith Broadway Safer Neighbourhoods Team is knocking on doors next week as it launched a new initiative called Street-a-Week.

From Monday September 21, members of the team aim to pay a visit to every home within Hammersmith Broadway ward.

The aim of the visits is to spread the word about the work of the Safer Neighbourhoods Team and improve the service the team provides to the public.

Police Sergeant Gareth Winnard says: " We want everyone to know that we are here for them and if you have a problem in respect of crime or anti-social behaviour, you can talk to us.

" We also want to gain a better knowledge and understanding of the issues that affect you most. Where is the anti-social behaviour occurring, who and what are most affecting your quality of life? "

Gareth adds: " I am proud of the work that the Hammersmith Broadway SNT has undertaken during my tenure in office. However, we need to reach out to more people and let everyone know that we can help them.

" This initiative will start on the 21st September and we will first be visiting the Riverside and Aspen Gardens area of the ward.

" When an officer comes knocking on your door, please take the time to tell them what concerns you."
