Christmas Comes to Holy Innocents Church


Series of seasonal musical events

Holy Innocents Church in Paddenswick Road is hosting a series of Christmas events over the next few weeks.

On Saturday, November 26, on the Eve of Advent, Choral Evensong will take place at 6pm. The Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis will be Walmisley in D minor and the anthem will be 'E'en, quickly come, Lord Jesus' by the contemporary American composer Paul Manz. The collection will be donated to Christian Aid.

This will be followed in December by two special concerts:

Fulham & Hammersmith Choral Society Annual Christmas Concert 
Refreshments available 
Programme includes: Charpentier: Messe Minuit, Vaughan Williams: Fantasia on a Christmas Carol and Christmas Carols – including audience participation

SUNDAY DECEMBER 11 - 4.00pm (doors open 3.30pm) 
Chiswick Baroque Advent Concert 
Programme includes: Advent chant, music by Philips, Victoria, Monteverdi and Poulenc, plus traditional Advent Carols and Lullabies. Plus the premiere of a new commission: Black Madonna - settings of Marian texts for women’s voices by Chiswick Baroque’s Director, Celia Harper
