Musicians Hold Festival in Memory of Cancer Victims

All welcome at fundraising event at Old Ship pub on May 9

A music festival in memory of those who have lost their lives to cancer is being held next week to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The fundraiser, entitled A Celebration of Life, will feature six bands performing in a range of styles, including traditional Irish music, rock, blues and folk.

It will be held on the upper floor of The Old Ship pub by the river in Upper Mall, Hammersmith, between 3pm and 11pm on May 9.

The event is being organised by Rob Simon, who says: " I’m going to be turning 60 and, as I’ve lost so many people to cancer I thought rather than have a party, I’d organise a fundraiser for Cancer Research UK.

"It’s going to be a fun day for a great cause."

A suggested £20 minimum donation includes a welcome drink and a buffet. Donations to Cancer Research UK can be paid on the door or beforehand at Rob's JustGiving page.
