Bush Theatre's New Artistic Director Madani Launches First Season


New series of plays will run through spring and summer

 

Madani Younis, the Bush's new Artistic Director, has launched his debut season, which will run throughout spring and summer.

Madani will be directing the opening show, the world premiere of Chalet Lines by Lee Mattinson, set in Butlins in Skegness in a first-time association with Live Theatre Newcastle. It will run from April 6 till May 5.

This will be followed by Encounters – a double bill of shows including Dry Ice by Leverhulme Trust Associate Playwright Sabrina Mahfouz and You’re Not Like the Other Girls Chrissy by Bush Associate Artist Caroline Horton, from May 8 - 12.

As part of World Stages London, Palestinian Theatre Company ShiberHur will return to London from May 21 till June 9 with the world première of Amir Nizar Zuabi’s The Beloved,

The Bush will also be opening a brand new studio space with Iron Shoes's Mad About the Boy by Gbolahan Obisesan, fro May 28 till June 2, followed by award-winning filmmaker Dominic Savage's stage debut, Fear from June 18 till July 14.
