Woman dragged under lorry in Hammersmith Broadway

50-year-old in critical condition

A 50-year-old woman is still in a critical condition after being dragged under a lorry on Wednesday last week.

The collision, with an articulated Tesco lorry, happened at around 3.15pm on Wednesday.

The victim, believed to be in her early 40s, had been walking across a pedestrian crossing outside Hammersmith underground station.

Police, paramedics and firefighters went to her aid. She was found to be suffering multiple injuries and taken by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, where she is in a serious condition.

The entire Hammersmith gyratory system was sealed off for around two hours while investigations were carried out.

The closure resulted in gridlock on roads already jammed because of the Tube strike.
