Police Appeal Over Fatal Collision on A40


Motorcyclist died last week on A40 eastbound

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a motorcycle rider died following a collision on the A40 last week.

Shortly before 23:00hrs on Tuesday, 15 March, police were called to reports of a collision on the A40 near the eastbound slip road from the Northern Roundabout in North Kensington.

Officers and the ambulance service attended and found a motorcycle had collided with the central reservation. The rider, a 28-year-old man from north London, was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been informed.

There were no other vehicles involved.

A post-mortem examination took place at Westminster Mortuary on Wednesday, 16 March, but officers await confirmation of the cause of death.

Officers from the Road Death Investigation Unit at Hampton Traffic Garage are carrying out enquires into the circumstances of the collision and are keen to speak to anyone who may have been a witness.
