Ten Boys from St. Paul's School Suspended

Group accused of having cannabis on trip to Spain

Ten boys from St. Paul's School in Barnes were sent home from an overseas school trip after being caught in possession of drink and drugs.

The lower sixth group of 24 pupils were on a school trip to Barcelona when it was found that some of them were in possession of cannabis and alcohol. The boys judged to have been responsible have since been suspended from the school. The stash was discovered by teachers on the final night of their week long tour.

The school's High Master, Martin Stephen, is reported as saying that pupils on the trip had broken the rules and had been "punished according to published policies".

He added: "It is a matter of deep regret that the pupils departed from the high standards of behaviour we expect from Paulines."

Paulines is the name given to pupils at the school.
