How Does Your Garden Grow?

Register by 16 May for the Borough in Bloom competition

Green-fingered Hammersmith & Fulham residents are being invited to enter the borough’s annual gardening competition.

Keen gardeners, from beginners to experts, can enter the contest in several different categories including: front garden, back garden, roof terrace or balcony, window box, container garden, vegetable garden, business premises, community garden and licensed premises garden.

Judges will be looking for effective use of plants, colour, layout, good cultivation and maintenance, and special consideration will be given to gardens which include environmental benefits, such as water recycling or gardens that attract wildlife.

The closing date for registrations is Friday 16 May and entry is free.

Judging will take place from 16 to 20 June and the winners will be presented with their trophies later in the year.

The winners of some categories will go on to represent Hammersmith & Fulham in the capital-wide ‘London in Bloom’ competition in July.
