Halloween fun, craft workshops and football stadium tours

Half term brings a busy programme of activities across Hammersmith and Fulham, including horrible Halloween fun at the borough's libraries, craft workshops at Fulham Palace.

Here's where to find all the action:


Fulham Palace

Tuesday October 26 – Dig for Roman Treasure
Wednesday October 27 – Soldiers and Goddesses
2p - 4pm each day

Fun craft sessions for children, learn about life in Roman times, on day one make your own Roman treasure trove and on day two make Roman armour, headdresses and jewellery.
Suitable for children aged 5-12 years. Booking essential, one or both sessions, £6 per session.

Lyric Square - Halloween Halloween Fun

HammersmithLondon are arranging a whole host of activities to keep people entertained over the half term week, from Oc tober 25 through till October 30.

From Pumpkin Hunt and Lyric Square's smouldering cauldron to the Ghosts and Ghoulies walk to the Margravine Cemetery, you are guaranteed an eerie week.

Borough libraries - Half term events

Events at Shepherd's Bush, Askew Road, Barons Court, Hammersmith and Fulham Libraries from Monday October 25 through till Saturday October 30, including Meet the Normans, Horrid Henry and Halloween arts and crafts.
Suitable for 5-10 year-olds, book in advance at relevant library.

Kings Mall, Hammersmith - Mad Hatter's Tea Party

Free two day event on October 29 and 30, jam-packed full of magical activities and enchanted entertainment for children of all ages. Shows, activities and competitions will be held from 11am until 4pm. The line-up for Friday and Saturday are slightly different; Friday will host a number of craft workshops, whilst the Wacky Wizard show will appear on Saturday.

Both days will give children the chance to join in with Alice’s sing- along and interactive story time. There will also be an opportunity for little ones (and parents!) to join in with the Mad Hatter’s parade, with a prize for the best in fancy dress.

Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith - free programmes and courses, mostly celebrating Black History Month.

For 14-year-olds and older teenagers, there is a dance course that runs on Monday October 25 and Tuesday October 26, from 11am – 1pm, while musicians and singers are invited to work with a recording artist and fine tune their melodies on Wednesday October 27 and Thursday October 28 between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.

Stamford Bridge - Stadium tours.

Take the kids on a tour to see trophies, dressing rooms, press and TV interview rooms, the players' tunnel, pitch-side and dug-out and visit the Chelsea Museum. Tours run daily every half hour from 11am till 3pm.

For younger children there are Stamford the Lion tours on October 28 and 29 at 12.15pm - recommended for under eights, this tour includes numerous photo opportunities with the club mascot and a Chelsea gift for every child. To book call 0871 984 1955 or visit stadium tours.
