Charles and Camilla Come to King Street

Royal couple visit Polish Social and Cultural Association

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall visited the Polish Social and Cultural Association in Hammersmith's King Street on Wednesday afternoon.

The Royal couple dropped in to see an exhibition celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Solidarity workers movement in Poland.

They also heard a Chopin recital, met Polish war veterans and watched children perform in a play.

Their visit to the association comes ahead of a tour of the country.

In March, Charles and Camilla will spend nine days visiting Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

This is Prince Charles' second trip to our borough this month. One February 10, he visited the Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation to see the work of the Warrior Programme, which helps ex-service personnel regain their self-esteem.
