Hammersmith Town Hall Hosts Crime Summit

Your chance to help police shape priorities for next year

There is still time to book your place at the Hammersmith & Fulham Crime Summit 2010 at Hammersmith Town Hall on Saturday March 6.

This annual event, now in its third year, gives local people the opportunity to help share the priorities for local police and council in their fight against crime during the next year.

The summit will feature short presentations from senior police officers and councillors, including the Borough Commander – Detective Chief Superintendent Kevin Hurley.

There will also be ward based workshops with council estate wardens, street scene and street cleansing officers and members of the parks constabulary, who will all be on hand to hear residents’ views on anti-social behaviour.

Hundreds of people visited the Town Hall for last
year’s event and this year’s summit offers another golden opportunity to talk to the authorities face-to-face.

Cllr Greg Smith is the council’s Cabinet Member for Crime and Street Scene and architect of the Crime Summit. He says: " The summit has become invaluable for officers to hear what problems residents want prioritised. This is your neighbourhood, this is your say and it is our priority."

Doors are open between 9am and 2.30pm, on Saturday March 6, and lunch will be provided.

If you would like to book a place or want more information, book asap bysending and email t0 crime.summit@lbhf.gov.uk and providing your name and contact details. Alternatively, call 020 8753 2816.
