Traffic around the centre of Shepherd's Bush is returning to normal on Wednesday (February 10) lunchtime after a recovery team removed a jackknifed lorry.

The exceptionally long lorry was stuck across the road outside Westfield for several hours this morning, blocking all traffic and causing cars and buses to be diverted.

The A4020 Uxbridge Road was shut at Shepherd’s Bush and long delays built up at the Holland Park roundabout, with congestion back to East Acton on the Uxbridge Road and as far as Stamford Brook Road on the A402 Goldhawk Road.

Ten local bus routes were also affected.

At around 12.30pm however, TfL Bus Alerts tweeted@TfLBusAlerts: " Buses serving Shepherds Bush, W12 are back to line of route following earlier traffic incident."

TfL Traffic News confimed the news @TfLTrafficNews: " The lorry has now been removed and traffic is returning to normal for the time of day."
