Sulgrave Road Death Update: Two Men Bailed


Police await formal identification of dead man

Two men who were arrested in connection with the death of a man in Sulgrave Road on Friday evening have been bailed pending further enquiries after a post mortem examination proved inconclusive.

The men, aged 31 and 27 were arrested and held in custody over the weekend following the incident.

Police say that on Friday, March 11 at around 7.40pm they were called to reports of a fight in the street in Sulgrave Road in Hammersmith.

Officers and the ambulance service attended and a 29 year old man was found suffering injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is underway by detectives from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command.

A post mortem examination at Fulham Mortuary on Sunday, March 13 was inconclusive and results from further tests are awaited.

Detectives believe they know who the deceased is but await confirmation that next of kin have been informed and for a formal identification.
